Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation Not Compatible with Galaxy Nexus?
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation hit the Android Market Place last night, so I was excited to install it on my Galaxy Nexus and enjoy some HD gaming on it’s lovely 4.65″ 720P Display. It’s been nothing but a frustrating experience to say the least as I tried installing numerous times with no luck. I thought maybe WiFi connection was acting up? Nope. I went back once more to install Modern Combat 3 but this time, it was nowhere to be found. After a browser search and trying a direct link to the Market I am greeted with this fantastic news: Read More →

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Unboxing (Pictures)
Verizon’s much anticipated Galaxy Nexus hit the stores today and if you want to check out the goods before you pick one up, we got ya’ covered.
As far as packaging goes this is one of the most minimalistic boxes I’ve ever seen. Definitely a little lackluster on Verizon’s behalf for such a flagship device. Upon first glance the box appears blank but if you look closely you can see a Verizon and Galaxy Nexus logo.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE Speed Test

1

Just a quick Galaxy Nexus Verizon LTE 4G Speedtest and it did not disappoint. I consistently achieved speeds of 20Mb/s down and 10 Mb/s up while never dropping below 15Mb/s down and 5Mb/s up. Pretty tasty.

Retina Display MacBook Pro Coming Early 2012?

Retina Display MacBook Pro Coming Early 2012?

Retina Display MacBook Pro? Take my credit card now please. While I for one didn’t expect one anytime soon, Digitimes is claiming we may see one as early as Q2 2012.

Apple is likely to launch its new MacBook Pro lineup with a display resolution of 2880 by 1800 in the second quarter of 2012, setting a new round of competition for panel specifications in the notebook industry, according to sources in the upstream supply chain.

2880×1800 is exactly double that of the current 15″ MacBook Pro which sizes in at 1440×900 and that would lead us to believe this magical Retina Display MacBook Pro would come in the 15″ flavor. With rumors of Apple bringing out a 15″ MacBook Air next year, this doesn’t sound too far fetched because it would separate the two 15″ models and allow for one to keep the ‘Pro’ name.

Earlier this year MacRumors reported that Intel’s Ivy Bridge Chipset (which is what we’ll see in the next-gen MacBook Pros) support resolutions up to 4096×4096 which adds a little more validity to the rumor.

Even with expectations of a Retina Display iPad coming in 2012  and as exciting a thought as a Retina Display MacBook Pro sounds, it’s still nothing but a rumor at this point so we’ll have to wait and as usually play the Apple guessing game. What do you guys think? Possible? or are we setting our geek sights to high?
